For close to two decades, my job was to help companies and the people inside them make better decisions. I worked as a consultant, corporate trainer and coach — I've trained more than 500 professionals, taught at universities including Universidad Anáhuac and UNAM, and worked with companies across México, Colombia, Ecuador and Perú, in real estate, hospitality, finance, tourism and services. That work taught me how businesses actually operate under pressure — which is the part most technology people never see.

Two years ago, the ground shifted. AI stopped being something you talked about and became something you could build with. Companies didn't need another advisor telling them what was possible; they needed someone who could build the thing and make it hold up. So I did what I prefer to do with everything: I stopped advising from the outside and started building from the inside. The early version of Kalibra — our AI-powered ERP for the real estate industry — had my hands all over it: development, implementation, the unglamorous work of making software real businesses depend on.

Today my job looks different again. I run two companies: Atypia, where we consult, develop and implement AI for businesses in English-speaking markets, and Kalibra, our product. My work as CEO is creating opportunities, leading the team, and consolidating operations built to compete internationally.

That last part is the point. My team and I build to an international standard — the challenge isn't capability, it's distribution: entering markets where nobody is waiting for you. That's the part most founders go through quietly. I decided to document it instead.
